Welcome to my Studio

This is where all my commission portraits originate. I'm pleased that you stopped by. Let me show you around. A selection of my portraits can be found in the Gallery section of this site.

All of my paintings are in oil on primed acid free canvas. I've worked here in my studio since my retirement as a New York Supreme Court Justice. I was fortunate to obtain my formal art training with Barbara Adrian at the Art Students' League in Manhattan, New York. I also studied with Marilyn Vona in Syracuse, New York.

I undertake only a limited number of portraits each year, in order to ensure the quality of each painting. If your commission is added to my schedule, we will spend the initial visit deciding such details as the content, size and frame style.

Then sittings will be scheduled at your convenience. The sittings are not arduous, as I take and rely upon quality photographs to supplement preliminary sketches.
